OUR PUBLISHING STANDARDS
Editorial Policy
These standards guide the content we are preparing for PetWorld. They describe our intended workflow, not a claim that our unpublished library has already been professionally reviewed.
Useful, original content
Articles should address a clear reader question, explain relevant details and offer practical context. We do not publish copied articles, invented personal experiences, fabricated quotes or unsupported statistics.
Sources and accuracy
Factual claims should be checked against relevant, reliable sources. For animal health topics, we prioritize veterinary organizations, veterinary schools and original research where appropriate. Articles should identify their supporting sources and distinguish evidence from opinion.
Animal health and welfare
General pet care information is not individual veterinary advice. We do not present automated checks as professional veterinary review. An article may be described as veterinarian-reviewed only when a qualified veterinarian has actually reviewed it and is accurately identified.
AI assistance
We may use AI tools to assist with planning, drafting or editing. AI can produce errors and does not serve as a source. AI-assisted drafts should be checked for factual accuracy, source validity, originality and suitability before publication. AI generation and automatic publishing are not currently enabled on this website.
Images and permissions
Images should be relevant to the subject and used under appropriate permissions or licenses. Source and license records should be retained, and required credits provided. Images must not be presented as evidence of events they do not depict.
Commercial transparency
Advertising, sponsorships and affiliate relationships should be clearly disclosed when introduced. A reserved advertising space does not mean an advertising service is active.
Updates and corrections
Content should be updated when a material error is identified or relevant information changes. Substantial corrections should be explained. Article update dates should reflect genuine editorial changes.
