This notice describes how PetWorld handles information through its current website and contact email.

Who to contact

PetWorld is an independently operated pet information website. For privacy questions or requests, contact the site operator at petworld959@gmail.com.

Website requests and technical logs

When you visit, the server receives technical information needed to deliver pages and images. Server logs may record your IP address, request time, requested address, response status, browser information and referring page where supplied.

We use operational information to deliver the website, diagnose errors, investigate misuse and maintain security. It is not currently used for advertising profiles.

Email inquiries

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any details or attachments you choose to provide. We use these to respond, investigate corrections or rights inquiries, and maintain relevant correspondence.

Our contact link opens your email application; it does not submit a message through a website form. Incoming messages are handled through Gmail, which processes information under Google's own terms and privacy policy. Please do not send passwords, financial details or unnecessary sensitive information.

Cookies and local browser storage

The public website offers optional Google Analytics 4 statistics. Analytics is disabled until you accept it. We store your analytics choice and its date in your browser for up to 180 days. The website does not currently offer a newsletter signup, public account registration or comments.

The restricted administration area uses session and security cookies for staff authentication and protection against forged requests. Administrative interface preferences may also be stored in the administrator's browser.

Your browser may cache images and styling files to speed up repeat visits. You can manage cookies, cached files and site storage through your browser settings.

Advertising and analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits, engagement and how visitors reach PetWorld. Google may process device and browser information, page addresses, referral information, interactions and online identifiers. Analytics cookies may be stored in your browser. Our tag does not request advertising storage, advertising personalization or Google signals.

Accepting or rejecting analytics does not affect access to our articles. Use the Analytics settings button to change your choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops future collection through our tag and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies on this website; it does not automatically delete information already processed.

Google may process information internationally. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites using its services. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or article search queries through our analytics configuration.

Google AdSense is not currently enabled. Enabling advertising will require a separate review of disclosures and consent settings.

Images and external websites

Images used in the current homepage sections are hosted on our server. Future article images may be supplied through an external image address; where that happens, loading the image sends a request to the image host, which can receive technical information such as your IP address.

Following an external link takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices.

Service providers and disclosures

Hosting and email providers process information as needed to operate their services. We may also disclose information when legally required or when necessary to investigate abuse or protect the website and its users. We do not sell personal information.

Hosting and email services may process information in countries different from your own. Their processing locations and applicable safeguards depend on the providers and services involved.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the purpose of the information. Operational logs are managed through server log rotation and operational requirements. Relevant records may need to be retained longer while investigating an incident or meeting a legal obligation.

Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to address the inquiry, handle follow-up, maintain necessary records or meet applicable obligations. The nature of the request, whether it is resolved, and any ongoing dispute determine that need.

Website backups are rotated, with the latest 14 backup archives retained by the current server configuration. Separate copies downloaded by the operator are managed separately. Contact us if you need more detail about information associated with you.

Your choices and requests

You can browse without registering and choose whether to contact us. Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to particular processing.

Email your request to petworld959@gmail.com. We may need proportionate information to verify that the request concerns you. Rights can be subject to legal limits. You may also have the right to complain to the data protection authority responsible for your location.

Security

We use HTTPS to encrypt website connections, authenticated access for administration, and backups. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this notice

We will revise this notice when the site's features or data handling change. This version describes optional consent-based analytics. Advertising and automated article generation are not currently enabled.
